Origins and Foundation

The history of the Petrovskaya Secondary School is closely connected with the development of the village of Petrovka in the Esil District of the North Kazakhstan Region. For many decades, our school has been one of the oldest educational institutions in the district, opening its doors to generations of rural children.

A significant milestone in the school's modern history came in 1972, when it was granted the status of a secondary school and moved into a new, spacious building located at 100 Zharkov Street. From that time onward, the school developed a strong focus on science and mathematics education and became one of the leading educational and cultural centers of the village.

Language Traditions and Educational Process

Since its establishment, Petrovskaya Secondary School has been a bilingual educational institution. Instruction is provided in two languages:

• the State language (Kazakh);

• Russian.

The school's greatest asset is its dedicated teaching staff and the continuity of educational traditions passed down through generations. Over the decades, hundreds of students have graduated from the school, many of whom have become highly qualified professionals contributing to the development of the Esil District and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Among the school's notable accomplishments are:

• Opening of a Rural IT Center. A modern digital hub for teaching programming and information technologies was established at the school, becoming the fourth such center in the Esil District.

• Recognition of Teaching Excellence. The school's teachers have repeatedly been awarded Certificates of Honor and Letters of Appreciation by the Department of Education of the North Kazakhstan Region and the Akim of the Esil District for their contribution to the development of education.

• Academic Success. Students regularly win prizes in the Kazakhstan Internet Olympiads (KIO) and district scientific project competitions in the fields of science and mathematics.

• Sports Achievements. School teams consistently earn prize-winning places in district sports competitions and receive awards from national physical education organizations.

Modern History and Renovation

While preserving its long-standing traditions, the school continues to develop and embrace modern educational standards.

As part of the national program for the development of education, the school building underwent a major renovation funded by the state budget. A total of 243 million tenge was allocated for the project.

The modernization included:

• complete replacement of the roof;

• construction of a modern and safe entrance area;

• relocation of the security checkpoint to a separate, well-equipped building;

• modernization of classrooms with contemporary educational equipment;

• creation of a comfortable, safe, and modern learning environment for students and teachers.

Today

Today, under the leadership of Director Aibek Zhasulanovich Zakryin, Petrovka Secondary School continues to fulfill its primary mission—to provide high-quality, accessible, comfortable, and safe education for the younger generation.

The school remains committed to preserving its educational traditions while actively implementing modern teaching methods and digital technologies. It continues to be one of the leading educational institutions in the Esil District of the North Kazakhstan Region, preparing students for successful higher education, professional careers, and active participation in the development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
